Biography:
Dan Zanes' story is one of a rock and roller who started a label for family music, brought funny guests into the mix, sold a lot of records, and toured the country with his spirited and soulful band. Now both the music and the story have evolved, and there is no sign that things are going to slow down anytime soon. A concert/video DVD entitled All Around the Kitchen! Was released August 30, 2005. In September, Little, Brown and Company Books released Jump Up!, the second book collaboration from Dan and artist Donald Saaf. On May 16, 2006, Festival Five and Starbucks Hear Music will co-release Catch That Train! The album will be at Starbucks locations as well as traditional retail stores. Through this hectic schedule, Dan still makes time to hang out and play banjo (or mandolin or ukulele) with his family, friends and neighbors.
